🎓 Funded Childcare & Eligibility

At Corinthian daycare, we want to ensure every child has the best start in life. We offer free 30-hour places for eligible 3 and 4-year-olds.

 

🎒 What Am I Entitled To?

Your Guide to Funded Childcare (Effective September 2025)

The government has expanded childcare funding to support working families with younger children. Depending on your child’s age and your working status, you may now be eligible for significantly more funded hours.

1. The "Universal" Offer (For Everyone)

  • Who: All 3 and 4-year-olds in England.

  • What: 15 hours of funded childcare per week during term time.

  • How: This is automatic. You do not need to apply for a code; simply speak to our school office to arrange your place.

2. The "Working Family" Funding (New Expansion)

From September 2025, the 30-hour entitlement has been extended to include all children from 9 months old up to school age.

 

📅 When to Apply

You can apply for your funding code once your child reaches 23 weeks old. Funding starts the term after they reach the relevant age:

  • To start in September: Apply by 31st August

  • To start in January: Apply by 31st December

  • To start in April: Apply by 31st March

🚀 How to Secure Your Place

To access the Working Family Funding (the extra 15 hours for 3/4-year-olds or the full 30 hours for younger children), you must:

  1. Check Eligibility: Visit childcarechoices.gov.uk to confirm you qualify.

  2. Get Your Code: Apply through the government portal to receive your 11-digit eligibility code.

  3. Bring it to Us: Give your code and National Insurance number to our school office.

Important: You must reconfirm your eligibility code every 3 months via your Government Gateway account to keep your funded place active.

  • True 30-Hour Funding: If you are eligible for a 30-hour place, it is provided completely free of charge (term-time only), with no surprise costs.
