Admission Criteria
Admissions to The Meadow
Admissions to The Meadow follow Liverpool Local Authority’s procedures for placement in specialist SEND provisions. The Meadow is designated for pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) whose needs cannot be fully met within a mainstream setting, even with additional support.
Placement decisions are made by Liverpool Local Authority through the EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) process. All admissions are based on:
-
A current EHCP identifying SLD and/or ASC as the primary area of need.
-
Evidence that a specialist setting is required to meet the child’s learning, communication, sensory and developmental needs.
-
Consultation between the Local Authority, parents/carers, and the school to ensure The Meadow is a suitable and appropriate provision.
The school does not directly manage its own admissions. All referrals and placements must be agreed and coordinated by Liverpool Local Authority SEND Services.
